My grandmother, Margaret Oliver — affectionately known as Mrs Oliver — was the epitome of understated elegance and quiet sustainability long before it was called “slow fashion.” She wore her clothes with intention: a Burberry trench passed down through seasons, cashmere knits that softened with time, classic handbags, and her signature geranium-red lipstick.
As a child, I played dress-ups in her wardrobe — a curated collection of quality pieces that aged beautifully and never went out of style. That early experience shaped my beliefs: real style isn’t fast and lasts beyond many trends.
